It was a bit of a Pinterest Christmas this year. I made a frame for my parents to display their grandkids pictures, and I made Hand "Santa tizers".

Is my bulldog done yet?

My youngest brother loves Bulldogs.  A few months ago he lost his best friend Arthur to old age.  13!!!  He now has a new buddy Ted.  But for years and years, he has asked me to make him a bulldog in cross stitch.  I have made quite a few attempts, always getting a project that is much bigger than I thought.  Well, I found a manageable one, finally, and finished it!!

So this morning, while he was coaching at Wrestling practice, I texted and asked if he was busy.  He said he was at practice, but what's up?  I said, "Oh, just wanted you to know I love you..." And sent him this:

I found the pattern online at http://un-jour-une-grille.over-blog.com

So here's my tribute to Arthur, or as I liked to call him, "Arty Farty"  I remember the day we went to meet him for the first time, and I knew then, he was going to be Harry's buddy for life. <3

A little decoration for a little tree...

We recently went looking for a new Christmas Tree, we didn't find one yet, but my daughter did. So of course we had to decorate it! I used one of my paper punches an some ribbon.

A shower gift.

I recently stitched a wedding sampler for my cousin and his fiancé. They are getting married in January. I'm very excited to see them get hitched!!

Night, Night...

I saw this idea on Pinterest.. I would love to give the person credit, but unfortunately, that blog seems to be down now.  Sorry!!

Thanks to a friend with a drill (and skills! Haha) he drilled a hole in this wine bottle for me and even made me a switch for the mini lights inside!!  I used marbles from the dollar store and hot glued them around and around the bottle.  Very excited to put this in my girls bedroom!!  Thanks for looking!! :)

A Pinterest Halloween project!

Saw this cute little Halloween Hanger on Pinterest and decided to give it a try. The instructions said she used coasters, but I used craft wood from JoAnns.

A little something for Mr. J...

One of my dear friends had a much anticipated baby boy.  He is such a blessing! I am so glad to say he is my "nephew".  He is a miracle come from above!! <3  So "Auntie" didn't get a chance to stitch anything for him, so I did a little something this weekend for my favorite little 7 month old!

Loving on Mason Jars

A friend of mine made some "lights" for her deck to go in between her flower pots.  I thought it was such a cute idea, I wanted to try too!  I got all my "ingredients" at the dollar store.  Mason Jars, Beads (the type that go in flower vase arrangements).  I went to Target and got some solar lights on clearance.  So yes, this project cost me $3 a piece!!  I pulled the top off the solar light and glued it to the inside of the mason jar, threw in the beads and voila!  Cute lighting for our back porch.

Why don't you stitch anything for us?

So my husband asked me a while ago, "Why don't you stitch anything for us?"  He knows how much I enjoy doing projects, but at one point all I was doing was things for others...  He said he'd like to see more of my stuff on our walls.  And he's right, there is so much space on our walls, it was time to have something. :)  So I did this back in 2011, and finally decided to get it framed.  Which also ment going to the Cross Stitch shop and picking up another project "For us."  So here it is, all nice and framed... Which wall will it hang on?  Not sure yet.... the background on the picture is our bathroom, it won't go in there, but I didn't want the window reflection I kept getting.... Happy Stitching!!  I believe the design was from Heart and Hand, but I can't find my chart to confirm.

Happy Mother's Day!

C and I weren't sure what we were going to do for Mother's Day, but thanks to Pinterest.  We saw a cute card idea.  :)  I can't tell you how blessed I am to be a Mother.  I waited so long for her to arrive, she fills my heart more and more every day.  I hope you have a wonderful day. <3

To the tips of my toes!

Valentine's for C's grandparents.  I want to apologize to the website I got the printable from... I can't find your website again. :(  I'm bummed.

Got really good foot prints, but C loved the paint squishing in her fingers, so the "heart" isn't quite right. :)  But that's what makes it so sweet.  I also think I should have used thicker cardstock, since it seemed to curl up a bit.

Valentine Lollys..

My daughter has her first Valentine's Party at daycare.  Most of the kids in her class are infants or toddlers, so I don't think the kids will be eating the lollypops, but I thought it was a cute Valentine regardless.  I got the printable images at the Skip to My Lou Blog here: http://www.skiptomylou.org/printable-valentines/

Menu Board Re-Vamp

So last weekend I made a menu board that I was happy with... But I thought I'd have to hang it somewhere, which would be fine.  But why not put it on the fridge? Since I tend to go there to look for a dinner idea.. So I used an 8 1/2 x 10 Magnetic Photo Frame and slid in some pretty paper. :) And Volia!!  A new menu board with easy access. :)

Another projects... Wow, two in one weekend!!  We do a weekly menu, so I saw an idea and made one.  :)  I used a $2 Calendar frame from Michaels and some of my pretty papers. :)  I used a dry erase marker and it wipes off easy!!

So I have recently been "pinning" on Pinterest.  I saw a cute idea for making activity shakers for toddlers.  I used a small water bottle, glitter, and different types of beads.  Glued the top closed with hot glue, 1st attempt, not so successful.  Second attempt (using less hot glue) was a success.  And C seems to like it.  Now I just have to remind her not to put the top in her mouth. :)
